Craving Pastels

I was really excited today when Fashiongonerogue finally posted the preview of Oscar De La Renta SS 2010 campaign. ODLR is my all time favorite designer, and this picture is beautiful

Also I wanted to share the Girls Allowed editorial from the March 2010 issue of UK Vogue (with Alexa Chung on it, I can't wait to get my hands on it!) The colors, textures and fabrics are gorgeous so of course all you bloggers must see it.

New & Old Favorites

Yesterday my roommate brought back the most wonderful calendar of an artist's work I've never seen. Mark Spain is an amazing painter, his work captures the perfect part of a women's beauty and what they are wearing, I love them so much!
You can read about him and look at more of his paintings here

and in other news, I'm beyond excited to hear that The Row by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen will be showing their first line at New York Fashion Week very soon! I can not wait to see pictures from this, their collections are always amazing, classic and beyond chic

Also Alexa Chung has been signed with Madewell (owned by J.Crew) to make a line of clothes resembling her own set to be in stores in August, she will also be the star of the campaign, of course! I will have to find a way to get my hands on everything once it's in stores. Everything is already so cute from Madewell, I know Alexa's just going to make it better!

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME TO GO TO NY FASHION WEEK HERE!
it takes two seconds (sorry Molly, I copied you haha)

Alexa, I love you always

I haven't talked much about Alexa Chung on my blog recently, but she has a very warm place in my heart. I'm mainly...obsessed with her - her style, her accent, her everything! I've even met her twice, and been in the audience of her show on MTV, It's On With Alexa Chung twice! (I'm very upset it's not going to be on anymore by the way.) But it looks like I'm not the only one loving her!
Heres my pictures with her just to brag a little ;)

this was after being in the audience of her show, she called me "little one", and then I died

This was during Fashion's Night Out in NYC - she was DJing at Miu Miu

Mulberry has made a bag after Alexa! The Alexa bag, it's gorgeous of course and comes in different hues. Of course out of my price range, but a girl can dream right? It's an up to date version of Alexa's favorite bag the Bayswater, and it comes in either a smaller sized, oversized or clutch! It's truly amazing. I'm sure Alexa is thrilled!

They all come in gorgeous other colors these were just my favorite, to look at them all go to the Mulberry website

V magazine

One thing I love is to is sit in Barns & Noble and grab every fashion magazines there is and read them all, stare at all the pictures and tune everyone out, especially because I get no magazine while at school I've been dying! and missing out!

After seeing that wonderful short film with all the Chanel clothing and accessories made for V magazine that i posted a couple of days ago, I had to go buy a copy of the magazine! I immediately fell in love with it, as do I with any fashion magazine. V magazine caught my eye with the huge pages, colors, and wonderfully chosen fashion ads, and photo shoots. I also very much enjoyed that Natalie Portman was on the cover, and had the most beautiful photo shoot of my life; edgy, raw, masculine and beautiful all at the same time.

Theres pages of collages of celebs at parties with/for V magazine, articles about new up and coming artists/musicians/models/fashion designers. Along with all of this, there was the interview with Alexa Chung I have been dying to get a hold of, along with amazing photographs of her. See the article/interview here

What was my favorite part of the magazine? The "Pin me up, pin me down" photo shoot, based off Pin up girls - done the modern way.
Models: Miranda Kerr, Ana Beatriz Barros.

Styling by Olivier Rizzo
