Teen Vogue Fashion U: Canon Brand Ambassador

Finally, here come the Teen Vogue Fashion U posts, I'm going to separate them since there is so much I need to tell you guys!

First I want to tell you all about being a Canon Brand Ambassador! I'll give you the short story - I was choosen with five other girls from all over the country (and Canada and Puerto Rico!). We all had to go to a meeting at the Teen Vogue offices the day before Fashion U started, of course I was extremely nervous and had no idea what to expect. I walked up to of course, a huge office building with "four times square" written on the side along with Condé Nast sign, walked in got my name tag and went straight up to the 10th floor. The elevator ride was so nerve racking, names like Vogue, GQ, Allure and more are along side Teen Vogue which covers two floors each shared with a different magazine (GQ and Allure). I waited in the gorgeous all white lobby between Allure and Teen Vogue with the other girls waiting to go in, watching the most fashionable people I've ever seen walk in and out of the doors.

Finally we were allowed in and went right into a conference room where we got to pick a brand new Canon Powershot SD1200, they were laid out along with a Jennifer Behr headband that matched. I picked the dark grey camera and headband (so it would match all my outfits better). We got instructions about what to do over the course of the weekend - basically take pictures of anything and everything, and wear our headbands everyday so all the students at Fashion U would know who we were.

The best part? We got to keep both the camera and headband, secretly I was more excited about the headband!

New Obsessions

Within the past month or so, I've discovered the development of two new obsessions: Christian Louboutin and Mika. So this morning, it was just my luck to discover on gogoparis.com a film honoring Christian Louboutin's new Hollywood store debut. Louboutin wrote, directed, and even had a cameo in the film.

Louboutin sets up a mélange of a femme fatale, thriller, paying tribute to Alfred Hitchcock's classic Psycho, and a whirling frenzy of "shoe heaven" with a musical background of Mika's current single "We Are Golden". Just wait for the shoe paradise, you'll be green with envy...

Thanks to Women's Wear Daily, I've found the most amazing picture of Marc Jacobs, my love. His picture is being published in François Nars' new photography book 15x15 featuring his make-up shown through beautiful photography inspired by the wonderful Richard Avedon. 15x15 is a celebration of being in his business for 15 years now! This book to comes out in November, only being sold at 15x15project.com

Risto Bimbiloski

I was on the usual blogs today, and came across the most amazing leggings in the world designed by Risto Bimbiloski, I know it's a mouth full. This russian designer started design collections for spring 09 and has the most amazing ideas. His spring 09 collection is based off the galaxy! Fun fact about me I'm very fascinated by constellations and pictures of the galaxy so I was very excited to see this collection. You can buy some of the pretty pricey clothes from the collection here, but for now let me show you my favorites!

New York favorites: Cynthia Steffe, Oscar De La Renta and Milly by Michelle Smith

Cynthia Steffe had the perfect pastel colors and beautiful fabrics, my love Oscar De La Renta never ceases to amaze me with his gorgeous dresses and my new favorite Milly's girly designs, patterns with the most perfect bows that have a Lady Gaga feel blew me away.

London favorites: Lullea (all time favorite) and Peter Pilotto

Lullea my all time favorite made me fall in love with the vintage feel of cropped jackets, bows, big buttons and beautiful colors. Another new favorite Peter Pilotto won me over with his water color fabrics that are amazing!
